This is very beautiful song for piano, but I’m
not very good piano player so I took my guitar
and here’s the result! It’s fun to play it with
guitar too. Near the end Jeff plays some nice licks
but I don’t know yet how they actually go so here
is only the chords. I hope you enjoy it.
Intro:
Dm-C x4
A
thousand bloody hand prints stain the
walls of liberty,
a
stranger hides in dreams denied, a
waiting his release.
I’ve seen this picture be
fore.
I
never thought that we would end up
here.
When
fascism comes as an
angel of light
its
license parading as
tyranny drives forth its
son.
Bb-Gm-Ebmaj7-Dm-Bb-Gm-Ebmaj7
The
son of morning dominating
fears,
afflicting fallen men.
His
body highly organized; it’s
coming into prominence
to bear its ominious
warnings.
It’s
in your blood to comprehend its
origin,
for
those who refuse to re
member the past are
con
demned to repeat it,
the
first and the last, dust to
dust…
Bb-Gm-Ebmaj7-Dm-Bb-Gm-A
Histor
y is
his stor
y
and
life is laughing at its
peril.
Building
towers that
come forth in
men,
Shifting
powers con
suming us with
in,
they will
puzzle the a
postles
till the end.
Enter into the
silence, into the
dying
life of A
me
ri
ca,
the
brave, the
slave, the
grave.
[C-Dm-C]
Dm-A-Bb-Gm-A-F-Bb-A x2
The
shattered pigs
dying as
primitive
savages,
eating their
flesh, they w
ill lie rotting in
dirt,
while a
stranger a
mong you has
challenged the
course
of in
human e
xistence and
alien
forces.
The
birth of a
black prince is
setting the
stage
in its
thriving dis
sension, e
xalting his
rank,
and the
innocent
man will fall
victim to
hands in the
trial of the
truth and its
twisted re
versal.
The
union of
factions bleeds
shock to the
system,
for
civili
zation has
ended
today.
The tran
sitional
nature of
acts and so
ciety
climbs in its
place while its
face re-cre
ates
un
til your
god is
dead.
En
lighten me with your pale statues,
face of inhibition,
and until your
reign has
en
ded,
frighten me with your
stale-taste-
tongue of inquisition.
In your
eyes I will
come forth in
men with no
justice,
no
order to de
fend,
and the
stone will be
cast a
gain..
Enter into the
fire, into the
bloody
gates of A
me
ri
ca,
the
great, the
fate, the
late.
[Dm-C]
